SS22 photo campaign in Altea: building PINKDESERT's Mediterranean imagery

The PINKDESERT Summer 2022 campaign is conceived as a natural extension of its iconic product: the jute espadrille. Altea was selected as the setting, an environment that perfectly encapsulates the Mediterranean essence and allows for the creation of a coherent, warm, and aspirational visual narrative.

Light plays a central role throughout the session. The natural, intense, and enveloping lighting enhances the textures of the jute, the earth tones, and the organic materials, bringing authenticity and depth to each image. The locations—swimming pools, terraces, white architecture, and open views—reinforce a sense of real summer, moving away from the artificial and connecting directly with the user's imagination.

Narratively, the campaign combines moments of pause and enjoyment with more dynamic scenes, showcasing the product in different contexts of use: relaxation, walking, and socializing. This approach not only elevates brand perception but also projects versatility and functionality, two key attributes in the purchasing decision.

The art direction opts for fresh, light, and cohesive styling that complements the environment, where the product is organically integrated into each scene. Closer shots allow viewers to appreciate construction details and materials, while wider compositions build the brand universe and add aspirational value.
